Makeup Post : BH Cosmetics-Take me back to Brazil Palette-Five different eye-looks

Hi Fam!

Today,I am going to share my latest five different eye-looks which I did using BH Cosmetics #Takemebacktobrazil eyeshadow palette.

Let's get started!

1. Light Green & Light sky blue

I love the way the light green colour goes with the light sky blue/mint blue colour.I knew that a muted rusty-brown lipstick will look great with this whole look.Look how well this entire makeup-look turned out! I love this makeup-look to bits.
                           

2. Blue Eye (Hypnotize kardi e mainu...hahaha)

I am sure if you are a neutral palette lover you might not like the idea of wearing a straight-up/on your face Bright Blue eye-shadow on your eyes.However,I liked how this shade looks rich and not patchy on the eye-lids. I paired this look with muted pink toned lipstick.Somehow this eye-makeup has elevated the whole look,what do you think?

3. Bright Neon Green

See, the idea was to use the green shade all over the lids and scare others...just kidding.I do not know I don't get scared of bright eye-shadows.In fact, I like such shades a lot.

In this makeup-look,I used the Neon green eye-shadow and packed carefully onto my eye-lids.See how nicely the eye-shadow has been applied that's because of one important product which I will discuss in my upcoming makeup-post.

Alright! at the end I used the muted orange toned lipstick to finish of  the whole makeup-look.

4.Go Purple

This one was inspired by one of the renowned Indian Beauty Bloggers :Debasree

I love how purple colour has been paired up with the bright neon green.

Purple is a very tough colour to create in the form of an eye-shadow.

Let me tell you,this purple was so soft and easy to apply that it felt like a dream.#notsponsored

Didn't really had a tough time blending it too.

The right amount of the Neon green eye-shadow added the pop which looked so cool...I must say...I am in love with the colour-combinaton and you can try it out too (for sure).

Completed the whole look by keeping the lips out of focus as I wanted this colour-combo to stand out.Clearly,it happened!

5. Light Green and Dark Green

I know that this eye-makeup would have reminded of parrots...tell me...tell me if that's true? :D

I paired the light green in the inner half of my eye-lids and dark green at the outer half of it.

Blended the harsh edges with a clean blending brush and voila...we have got a beautiful eye-look which was really easy to create.As usual,used my trusty muted nude lipstick to tie up the whole makeup-look together.Will you try this makeup-look?

How to Manage Stress?

Dear Lovelies!

Today,I would like to share different ways to stay positive and how can we handle stress!

Interesting topic right?

I am sure you must have been stressed about one thing or the other at some point in your life.

In today's world it's not a new thing,stress has become an integral part of our lives without even knowing.

From kids to adults to our-elders high stress-level has become a common reason why health issues are increasing in the world.

Taking stress is one thing ,however,not managing it well and letting it take a toll on your health is a serious concern.

Many things can cause stress such as personal problems,work-related issues,exams,interviews,not getting a perfect life-partner,not getting the job which you aspire,not liking what you do,not loving how you look or live or spend and the list goes on and on.

There are no specific and general measure/solution to handling the high stress-levels,however,we will check out whatever is in our hand.Let's go:

You can take stress and try to manage it by doing the following:

Take a deep breath and try to calm down.It will really relax your nerves and sooth your brain

Acceptance: We chase our dreams madly and forget that we are supposed to live in the moment and enjoy the little joys of life.This is when the stress-issue starts and before we realize it goes up and beyond and screws our life.
Sometimes accepting what's not your will never be yours can do wonders.Love yourself enough that nothing can degrade your self-respect/self-worth.This doesn't mean that you stop trying to achieve what you want,keep trying.Try until you feel you should and there will be a time when you'll know that it's time to stop (for sure).

Smile often :) :) :)

Try to analyse the root cause of your stress,like what's triggering it? Is it because of any personal issue or upcoming exams or work-related etc?

Once you find out the root-cause start finding out a solution to either address it or resolve it altogether by speaking up or discussing with your family members/friends/spouse etc

Let's say you still could not analyse the root cause and resolve the cause of stress,you need to still sit down and write what's not right and how you can bring YOUR LIFE in your control.This can be done by practicing positivism.Anything bad happens to us due to some reason we start blaming others,try to see the fault in yourself.Correct your thoughts ,your actions will become correct and ultimately your life will be on correct path.

Positive mindset is very very important and should not be ignored at any point in time once you've realized that stress has become an integral part of your life and engulfing you day in - day out.

Working out is important too.Being active was never a bad idea.

May be you should take up an activity which you wanted to do for a long time and never got a chance to do as LIFE HAPPENED.

Utilize each day to do something for yourself and others may be it will give you strength and reduce your stress.

Be kind to people,our behavior towards ourselves should be good along with that we should not hurt anyone.I have found out (finally) that being kind to yourself & others is the most wonderful thing.

Look around,we are just struggling to live our life and handle self-created stress-levels while others are not even getting a chance to live due to various reasons.

Life is too short to worry and die.One day you will look back and say why didn't I do what I always wanted to do and took unnecessary stress when it was not at all required!!! Like...Why?

So,I would like to be calm and change your life yourself by taking care of small things that play a major role in shaping up our mind and in turn LIFE.

Well! that's it for today.

I know it was a heavy dose of how to face the reality,however,you have to pull-up your socks and live your life happily...it's totally up to you.

Hair Care : Is it important?

Hope you are doing fine.

Today,I thought of sharing my opinion on the most requested topic of all times...is hair care important? If yes,then how to take care of it?

                                       

Who doesn't like having long, healthy,shiny and beautiful hair?

Today, we'll focus on the various reasons why actually hair-care is important.

So,let's get started!

Taking good-care of your health is important and it is equally important to take care of how you look overall.How you look should matter to you at least and not necessarily to others.

1. Hair plays an important part in reflecting your personality.
2. Well maintained hair speaks out volume.
3. I mean why not? It is the need of the hour.
4. Slight hair-styling can change the way you look, for that you need healthy hair.

Why Hair-fall occurs when we move out from India to UAE/Gulf countries?

This can happen because of so many reasons.

Few reasons are as follows:

1. May be change in water has triggered hair-fall
2. Due to low hemoglobin or high iron deficiency
3. Not following a healthy diet
4. High stress-level
5. External factors such as dust and sand blocking the roots
6. Oily scalp and so on

How to tackle these factors?

1. Visiting a doctor might help in identifying the actual root cause one of them might be due to hereditary
2. Eat well,follow a good diet-plan which should be rich in iron,proteins etc.
3. Massage your scalp coconut-oil twice a week
4. Use hair-masks such as curd and egg twice a week.This will help in keeping your roots nourished and scalp will stay clean
5. Gently rub Diluted aloe-vera gel on scalp
6. Shampoo your hair once or twice a week
7. Use Paraben free hair-care products
8. May be taking multi-vitamins help(please refer a doctor and only then take any external multi-vitamins)
9. Use a cotton scarf while your are out and about,this will help your hair breath and hair will not really come in direct contact with the dust & sand
10. Do not scratch your scalp a lot (if it itches).It itches because your scalp is dirty.Try to wash your hair whenever possible and keep it clean.
11. Stop thinking (read : overthinking) about your life-problems as it will definitely trigger stress and today,it will cause hair-fall which can certainly turn into a permanent hair-loss and cause many other health-issues.
12. Last but not the least, drink plenty of water and eat well,exercise regularly.DO NOT LEAVE HOPE. :)

Fashion Post : How to use one Black blazer for styling Five Outfits!!!

Hi Fam,

Today,I am here to share how I used ONE Black blazer to style up Five different outfits.

Let's go...

1. Basics...
Wore a Graphic Red Tee and paired with the Denim Skirt.Added the Blazer to give that Semi formal look.That peral necklace looked gorgeous with this outfit...added that detail.
A pair of Sunglasses ,Belt and Bag helped in enhancing the whole look for good.

2: All Dressed-up!

Wore a top with sweetheart-neckline.That skirt has my heart.Looks too good with anything black na.
Wore the blazer to finish of the look.That necklace added up to the glory of the outfit.That belt is my constant.Took bag and accessorized the look with a pair of sunglasses.Do you like it?

3: Party owl!
Wore a shimmery dress and accessorized with my favorite belt & a neck-piece.Red Lip is my thing as you already know....so,did that.Wore that blazer yet again to finish off the look.Yeah...not to forget that pair of Sunglasses which I am obsessed with.I loved how this look turned out.

4.Pop of Yellow!

It's summer-time and no bright colour can do any harm...right? Wore a Yellow body-suit with striped culotte-pant.Used my Black blazer to look more put-together here.A black necklace,shades played the add-ons.That Yellow bag was completely matching with my top...I had to use it here.Finally,wore my trusty-Sunglasses and here is the final look...yay!

5.Last Outfit : Oh so Chic! ...

This is one of my personal favs...I must admit.

Black top paired with black skirt.That black belt is adding so much oomph to this look.Golden details on the Bag and the necklace are giving me life right now...Added that cute Black Blazer to give it a  stylish look.

This black on black outfit is looking gorgeous.I love everything about this look.Classy and chic.What's you opinion...do share.

My Experience:

Shades:Purchased three shades,Ruffle Trim,Exotic & Teddy

Ruffle Trim : True peach shade.Suitable for all skin tones.I like to line my lips with a dark lip-liner and then apply this lipstick.

Exotic : Muted dusty rose pink shade.Really very pretty shade.Can definitely be used on a daily basis as it gives a feeling of My Lips But Better.

Teddy : It's a true brown shade,however it's not a deep vamy brown and can be worn easily,if at all it's a cup of your tea.Personally,I love dark shades and I love Brown lippies.Hence,I picked this one up.
It's a beautiful shade.Suitable for all skin tones.If you don't like wearing such sort of shades then you can mute it down by using a more neutral colour like ruffle trim or so.

Packaging :

• Nice packaging.Sturdy and travel-friendly
• Clear acrylic packaging ensures that we can see the shade.
• Black colored lid with glossy finish.The lid closes tightly and product leakage was never experienced
• The flat-foot applicator helps in lining out the lips perfectly and product can be easily applied
• Labels shade details ,weight and product-expiry etc are mentioned on the tube itself.That's great!

Formula & Texture:

• Soft to touch,not gritty
• Moussy-texture,not runny liquid formula
• After applying the lipstick it dries down to a complete matte finish
• Pigmented enough to cover up the pigmented lips,gotta swipe twice/thrice at least to get the full opacity.
• Doesn't stain the lips for sure                                  

Fragrance: Chemically-scented.Fragrance which fades away with time.Not bothersome.

Longevity: Lasted on the lips for 4-5 (had meals in between).If greasy food item will be avoided,It will last for 8 hours.However,in my case,lips felt dehydrated and undernourished....and let's be real we cannot leave eating Burger and French fries...hehehe.
Re-application is easy tough as there will be no product as such on the lips after eating greasy food,so,apply a generous amount of lip balm and top it off with the lipstick.

Pro:
Shades are to die for as these sort of shades can be used on a daily basis.Pretty shades indeed!

Con: Not that long lasting and definitely lips will feel parched at the end of the day due to the formulation.

Will I re-purchase?
Yes,wanna try out this lipstick in the shade Cabaret Show.

Recently,I purchased some products from MAC.Read on to find out my picks.

MAC Prep+Prime Fix Plus:

It's a makeup spray.Can be used as a primer and as a setting spray.Packaging is cute and travel-friendly.I wanted to check out the travel-size as it becomes very hard to carry the full sized bottle.This product works great on my dry skin.Easy to carry and toss in the bag and can be used on the go.

Size : 30 ml

MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in the shade Soft & Gentle:

It's an illuminating face powder,basically a soft highlighter which can be layered and it can definitely turn into a blinding highlighter.

I love highlighters and I had heard a lot of good things about this product and that's the reason why I purchased this highlighter.It has got very smooth texture,soft to touch.This will suit all the Indian skin tones pretty well specially medium-skin tones.

MAC Extra Dimension Eye shadow in the shade Amorous Alloy:

Amazing packaging!!! Just look at the product and the wavy design(embossing)..looks classy in my opinion.It's a deep terracotta copperish shade.Very smooth to touch and glides on nicely on the eyelids.Can be used all over the eyelids to get that extra glamorous single eye-shadow look.

MAC Lipstick in the shade Devoted to Chili:

It's a part of Powder Matte Lipstick collection.Packaging is cool too,it has got a matte black finish...love it.This shade in particular attracted me as it's a burnt orange-terracotta shade which I am loving these days.When I swatched it,I could feel that this lipstick has got a comfortable-matte finish and not purely matte finish.Check out the swatch you will understand what I am trying to say.

"On website : A moisture-matte weightless lipstick that delivers a romantic blur of effortless soft-focus colour.Devoted to Chili is a Warm Brick Red shade."

It's perfect Dupe is Maybelline's Matte Ink lipstick in the shade Globetrotter.Must check out if you wanna try out this kind of shade on a budget.I am yet to try out this lipstick,will definitely share my opinion on this lipstick super soon.

MAC X Disnep Aladdin-Matte Lipstick in the shade Rajah

Omg! I am in love with this collection.I wanted to try out this particular shade as it's a true berry red shade which I love love love.Perfect for Indian/Medium skin tone.To be honest, this is a universal shade and I am pretty sure that it will suit Fair to Deep skin tones very well.It's perfect Dupe is Chambor Geneva's Liquid Lipstick in the shade 405.Do check out.

"Devoted to Chili" lipstick has got semi-matte finish which is matte but, still moisturizing. Altough,the product claims are that it's a matte lipstick,after swatching it we can safely say that it has got a comfortable matte-finish.This lipstick is amazing and the packaging it very unique and attractive too.

Today,I am going to share my genuine thoughts on the products which I recently purchased from Boutique(Health & Glow,VR Bengaluru,India).

Biotique is an Indian skincare/haircare/bodycare brand.Products are 100% organically pure ,presevative-free and based on natural ingredients.I wanted to give this affordable brand a try because I had heard a lot of good things about the products and loved the fact that this brand is a cruelty free brand.

I purchased three products.

1. Biotique Papaya face-wash
2. Biotique Walnut Purifying & Polishing Scrub
3. Buotique Cucumber Toner

My Experience:

My skin-type : I have got normal to combination skin.

Bio Papaya Face-wash:

This face-wash is a clear face wash with micro granules.Very gentle on the skin.This product doesn't rip-off the necessary oils from face.It leaves my skin feeling fresh.Didn't experience any sort of dryness.This face wash is mild yet effective.Fragrance->Smells fresh and not too strong...quite refreshing.Very affordable and worth purchasing.In winters,I have used this product and it's safe to say that this product is great for normal to combination skin-type.It's a nice face-wash which is worth trying once.

Bio Walnut Purifying & Polishing Face-scrub:

It's a face scrub as the name suggests.It has got a pink tint and coarse walnut particles.I like the consistency of this product not too thick not too thin.

After using it my skin feels smooth indeed,but,this was not the case from the first usage.I use this scrub twice a week and it took time to show results...a month.Smells too strong and very heavily scented.I don't like the smell of this product.The walnut particles are too coarse and can hurt the skin if not used carefully.Overall,I would say it's a product worth trying but,I won't repurchase it as I am not a fan of the harsh particles in this face scrub.

Bio Cucumber Pore-Tightening Toner:

This is the star of the show.This Toner has got a green tint.This is a product which is really very effective.After a long tiring day,applying this toner refreshes my skin.It has astringent kindaa smell which doesn't last for long after application.It cleans the skin thoroughly.I could see the results from the first usage itself.My cotton pad was showing the amount of dirt which was there on my face after I used this product.Phew!!!Glad that I picked this up.It's a great product and definitely worth trying.I am definitely going to purchase it once I run out of this bottle.
Note : Didn't see much of an impact on my pores though!

Styling Denim Shirt in Three Easy ways!

How are you doing?

It's been a long time that I've put up a blog-post.So,here I am to share my styling tips with the Universe. :) #styledbyglamnglaze

Today I am gonna let you know how to style a simple denim shirt in three different ways...so let's get started.

First Look:(From left side,first pic in the collage):

Striped clothing piece is one of my personal favorites.For the first look,I chose black and white striped tee,jet black jeggings and wore a blue denim shirt.Left it unbuttoned.Wore a pair of sunglasses -white-framed to sync up the whole look.Completed the look with white Adidas sneakers!

Second Look (Denim on Denim - Middle pic in the collage):

I chose to pair my denim shirt with denim shorts.Tied the shirt's loose ends as a knot for a smarter-look.Accessorized the look by adding hoop earrings,tan colored belt,bag and finished off the look by wearing plain white sneakers #sneakerlover :D

This look is my favourite.

Third Look (Last pic in the collage):

Here I chose to wear black spaghetti top with ripped denim skirt.Denim shirt as a cover-up.Accesorized the look by adding Black-framed sunglasses,black coloured ankle boots.Finished off the look with a white backpack.

Belt,sunglasses and boots matched.So,entire outfit looked cohesive in my opinion.

My Experience:

Shades:

• 32, Emotion : It's a brown lipstick with a hue of red in it. Looks pretty and definitely not for the faint of heart.It's a vampy deep brownish-red that elevates the mood.If you enjoy wearing bold lipsticks, you might wanna check this shade out.

• 22, Amore : It's a beautiful and vibrant red with a hint of pink. Looks like a reddish-pink shade and brightens up the complexion / overall makeup-look. I love this shade to bits.Perfect for party wear or any festive occasion.

Packaging:

The lipstick comes in a rectangular acrylic-tube packaging. It's a see-through tube,so we can easily see the lipstick-colour through the packaging.The important details like shelf-life ,product quantity etc are mentioned on the tube.The shade name and number are mentioned at the bottom of the tube-packaging.The twist open lid is plastic and of pure yellow gold colour. The flat-sponge tip applicator is very easy to work with.It actually helps in lining out the lips.Overall , the packaging looks very classy and attractive. The packaging is sturdy and can be carried easily while travelling...on the go i.e. travel-friendly packaging.

Formula & Texture:

• The lipsticks in this collection have got a slight vanilla-like smell.Not strong.The smell goes away as the time passes and is definitely not bothersome
• Creamy formula with powder-matte-finish
• Non-sticky formula
• Quickly dries up on the lips (around one minute)
• Soft to touch and very pigmented!
• One dip into the tube is sufficient to get full opaque coverage on lips.Girls having pigmented lips can rejoice! Wait wait wait...this is the case with the shade "Emotion".When we apply the shade "Amore" we can clearly see the lip-pigmentation peeping through the lipstick.Definitely need two coats of the lipstick in order to get full opacity.
• Re-application  is very easy.No need to remove entire layer and then re-apply, just apply on top of the already existing lipstick.It doesn't make the lips look crusty or pathetic.The lipstick sits beautifully on the lips.

Effective/ Worth?

• The product glides like a dream on the lips
• Non-patchy application.Very easy to apply and distribute over the lips...evenly
• The powder matte finish looks really very pretty and I love it
• Comfortable to wear , but, a tad bit drying
• Completely transfer-proof to a great extent.99%.Yay!
• Smudge-proof and water-proof
• Doesn't enhance lip-lines severely
• Very lightweight formula,feels like nothing is there on the lips
• The applicator is awesome.Easy to hold(grip) and apply the product
• Both the shades stained the lips (whenever applied)
• The shade range is amazing...I must say.

Longevity:
The lipsticks in this collection have an average staying power of about three to four hours(max).
Survived light snacks very well.These lipsticks don't really survive heavy meals.Post-meal,the lipstick goes away from the center of the mouth and you need to do a touch-up.
In case you don't eat oily or greasy food then the lipstick will stay on the lips for about 
5-6 hours(depends) and then fade away evenly leaving a slight stain behind.

Cons:

• Enhances dry patches/flakes on the lips
• Lips feel somewhat dry. Solution : Exfoliate your lips beforehand. Apply a lip-balm underneath. 
• Gives butt-hole lips after having a meal.Oily food breaks down the product easily.

Will I re-purchase?
Yes,if ever I get through a full lipstick-tube. :D
I like the formula of these lipsticks.On a side note, both the lipsticks will surely suit all the skin tones across the globe.Take my word,but, only if you like to go that bold and bright.I personally love wearing all sorts(well, there are exceptions...of course!) of shades that tend to suit my apricot-skin tone.Just because of this reason I went ahead and picked up these two shades from the entire collection.I am happy with these lipsticks.  But, yes would like to let you all know that these lipsticks
make my lips feel a little dry (bearable).Layering after finishing off the meal is a necessity for sure. I would like to purchase a different shade from the Amore Matte Lip Creme collection called
"Gorgeous". :)

Essence has become one of my favourite drugstore brands.I love almost all the products from Essence.All the products are so affordable and of good quality.

Shade:
04,Pink Up Your Life is a very pretty pink-raspberry shade that will surely suit all the skin tones!Perfect for daily-use. It's very suttle and gives a flush of colour on the lips.It stains the lips and still looks beautiful.

Packaging:
Very attractive packaging.Colour-coded packaging. The pull-up cap is made up of plastic.Ir's ciolour matches the exact lipstick shade perfectly.Shade number is mentioned on the colour-coded sticker on the bottom of the lipstick case.Also,important information like product quantity,shelf-life etc are mentioned on the packaging.Sturdy & travel friendly packaging. Didn't experience any loose-cap /product mess-up issues.

Formula & Texture:

• Creamy formula with matte-finish
• Can say that this lipstick has a velvet matte finish that later on settles to a complete powder matte finish(as the time passes)
• Soft to touch and very pigmented!

Effective / Worth?
Yes, definitely.

• Affordably priced.For the price being paid we are getting a lot of product.Great quality I must say.
• Very pigmented.One to two swipes are enough to cover-up any lip-pigmentation
• Comfortable matte lipstick
• Doesn't tug on the lips.Glides on very smoothly
• Very creamy and lightweight formula
• The bullet hugs the lips perfectly and we don't really need a lip liner
• Great for daily-use.Perfect rosy pink shade that can be used on a daily-basis
• Easily available across the country

Con:
Enhances dry patches and fine lines a lot.Exfoliate your lips before applying this lipstick.I would highly suggest applying a lip balm prior to using this lipstick else your lips might feel very dry and flaky(approximately after two hours of application).

Will I re-purchase?
Yes

Overall, I would like to say that you should definitely give this lipstick a try.I am planning to check out other shades from the Matt Matt Matt lipstick collection.Very reasonably priced lipsticks.Must try!
