Review : Essence Volume Stylist 18hr Curl & Hold Mascara

Hi Beauties,

To start with , firstly I would like to let you know that Essence cosmetics has got nice mascaras.My all time favorite is the Lash Prince Volume mascara.And that's why I thought of checking out the Volume Stylist 18hr Curl & Hold Mascara.mascara the moment I saw the packaging!Today, I am going to review the same for you all. :)

So, let's get started...shall we?

My Experience:

Packaging:
As I mentioned earlier in the Introduction part, the packaging of the mascara attracted me a lot!
So,the nude pink coloured satin tube with a black twist open cap looks so gorgeous.
The details like quantity, shelf-life are mentioned on the packaging. The weight of the tube is very light.Travel-friendly packaging. The lid closes tightly enough to avoid product spillage.Love the girlie packaging.

Formula & Texture:
The formula is moussy, but, towards the drier version.It dries quickly.The texture is creamy.The product is very pigmented and dark black in colour. Lightweight formula....must say.

Effective?
Yes.

• The fully loaded paddle brush works nicely on the lashes.It helps in coating the lashes  around inner-corner of the eyes.Easy to coat the lower lashes.
• The mascara curls the lashes too. Holds the curl for a long time. But, then at the end of the day the effect was gone!
• Very comfortable on eyes. Doesn't feel heavy on the lashes
• Each time we dip the wand into the bottle,enough product comes out and helps in coating the lashes.
• Very affordably priced and easily available.It's a steal.
• Lengthens the lashes in one to two coats and gives the desired volume after three coats!
• Separates the lashes nicely.
• The effect of the mascara stayed around 7-8 hrs (in my case) until I went ahead and removed the product from the lashes.
• Water-resistant mascara , but , not waterproof. Be aware if you are looking strictly for a water proof one.Skip this mascara.
• Flaked ever so little and didn't give raccoon-eye-look.

Con:

• Need to apply at least three coats of the product to get the desired volume.Of course,over coating the lashes with the product will result in clumpy-looking lashes which will not look good.Avoid over application. If you are in a hurry and want this mascara to work in a jiffy.It won't happen.It might lengthen the lashes and might not volumize them quickly. 

• 18hr curl and hold is a big claim. This mascara doesn't stand up to the mark as expected! In case you are looking for a mascara that stays for a very long time on the curled-lashes this mascara might disappoint you.

Will I re-purchase?
Yes, definitely.This mascara is amazing and very affordable. Really good quality mascara...love it.

Overall, I would like to say that this is a nice mascara.I am loving it.It has not disappointed me.It lengthens the lashes beautifully plus volumizes too. Yay.All in all I recommend trying out this mascara.No complains as I have tried various high-end mascaras and faced disappointment! This mascara is quite affordable and works fine. Can be used on a daily basis as it doesn't dramatize the lashes a lot.

My Experience:

Packaging:
The product comes in a sleek black coloured pen-packaging.Looks like a sketch pen.The packaging looks basic and simple.
The fine tip applicator looks amazing and sharp.It's travel friendly and sturdy.The cap closes tightly and secures the pen-tip very well.The details like product-quantity , shelf-life are mentioned on the packaging.I like the packaging.

Formula:

• Very lightweight formula. once applied on the eyelids,  doesn't feel heavy at all! 
• Deep dark black coloured eyeliner.Not jet black.
• Matte finish.Not extremely matte though.
• Liquid consistency, but, not runny or anything like that.Perfect formula.

Effective?

• Deep black coloured eyeliner.Very pigmented.
• One swipe is sufficient to use.Maximum two swipes should do.
• Very easy to create-winged eye liner look
• The fine tip applicator helps in drawing thin line nicely.
• Thick line can be drawn easily too,if you like thick eyeliner look.The tip is easy to control while applying the product.
• The eyeliner didn't cause any skin irritation. Read it from the perspective of a girl with sensitive skin
• It stayed on the eyes for an entire day until I removed it using a makeup remover
• Water-proof to a great extent.
• Smudge-proof eyeliner. Yay!
• It didn't crack on the oily lids
• The shelf-life is eight months.That's great in my opinion.
• Makeup-beginner friendly product

Con:
Only con is as the time passes it fades away a tad bit. Or we can say the intensity of the pigmentation gets reduced.

Will I re-purchase?
Yes

Overall, I would say that Essence mascaras are my favourite ones.They are very affordable and easily available and work better than many high-end mascaras.I recommend this mascara .Girls must check this out.

Mini Haul : Karaja Makeup Products(Life Cosmetics),Italy

Today, I am going to share the details of a mini makeup haul.So,recently I had ordered few products online from www.lifestylestores.com. It's a great portal for online shopping.Be it cosmetics or home decors they have it all.I purchased few products which are from an Italian makeup brand called Karaja.Let's get started with the haul!

First product is a lipstick.It's from the Sensual Shine,shiny cream lipstick collection.It's an orange-coloured lipstick which is perfect to wear during the summer-season.The lipstick has a glossy finish which I like a lot.This lipstick is very pigmented and in one swipe we get full colour payoff.It feels very comfortable on the lips too.The lipstick comes in a colour-coded plastic tube with a pull-up cap.The colour of the tube matches the shade of the lipstick.Very handy feature in case we have more than one lipstick from the Sensual Shine collection. Nice quality,I am lovin' it.

Second product is a bullet lipstick from the Rouge Mat collection.It comes in a metallic silver tube.The tube has a pull-up cap which is firm in nature. The packaging looks very classy.It's sleek,sturdy and travel friendly.The shade is very gorgeous ,it's a watermelon-red kind of a shade,very bright red with a slight hint of orange.It's a very summery shade.I purchased this lipstick because this particular shade looked very unique to me.The lipstick glides on smoothly and is very pigmented.The lipstick has a velvet-matte finish.I love the formula of this lipstick. Good quality lipstick:)

Third product is an eyeshadow trio in a uni-pan.It's from the Aqua Colour Eye Shadow collection.It is a beautiful combination of purple and pink with pink-glitters in tge middle-stripe.Attractive indeed!!

I had heard so many good things about Karaja-eyeshadows and wanted to try,that's why I purchased this product.There are other amazing variants available too.The shade range varies from the bold teals to warm neutrals.

The packaging is lightweight and is made up of plastic.The eyeshadows can be seen easily through the transparent plastic-lid.The circular pan holds the product intact.The packaging is very sleek and compact.I am yet to try out these shadows.Will keep you updated on that.Do follow me on Instagram to get more updates on this product.

• The product comes in a cute cylinderical-tube
• The tube is of black & sky-blue colour
• The applicator is a brush-tip applicator
• All the product-details are mentioned on the packaging e.g. quantity , shelf-life etc.                                                

Formula & Texture:

• The eye-liner is of black colour...but, not jet-black
• liquidy eye-liner
• medium pigmentation
• Can draw thick and thin lines using the applicator
• Can do various winger-liner looks
• Need to apply twice or thrice in order to get that jet black finish
• Not water-proof but,kind of water-resistant
• Doesn't flake

                           

Effective / Worth?

• Be careful while applying this eye-liner as the brush tip applicator is a little tricky to use
• Also,try to work in small dots / sections and join the dots.I am ok with the pigmentation as once we build-up the colour we get a jet-black finish and the eye-liner stays for a really long time

Longevity:

• Lasts on the eyes for a really long time until removed and also, it doesn't fade away as the time passes...it stays well on the lids!!!...awesome :)
• Can be removed using normal-water easily

Con:
Pigmentation could have been better

• The jar is made up of plastic
• One fourh of the packaging contains the actual product and the conical cap holds the felt-tip applicator
• Travel-friendly.Like the packaging

• The eye-liner is of pure-jet-black colour
• Matte-finish
• Dries-down quickly
• The texture is not very liquidy or runny it is just the perfect formula in my opinion
• Highly pigmented
• In one single swipe gives full colour-payoff
• Winged liner can be easily drawn using this product
• Thin,thick lines or any dramatic look can be created with ease using the felt-tip applicator
• Water-resistant
• It doesn't flake!...love this eye-liner

• Lasts on the eyes until removed
• I use a good makeup remover to take this eye-liner off from the eyes.It's very easy to apply and remove as well.It's my holy grail eye-liner.Just the way I like an eye-liner to be!

Will I re-purchase?
Yes,it's one of my favourite eye-liners! Highly recommend.

My Experience:
Packaging:

• The mascara comes in an orange tube.I like the packaging

• All the details are mentioned on the mascara's tube such as shade name,number,shelf-life

• The applicator has loads of fine bristles/fringes that help in coating the eye-lashes very well

• The mascara-wand has a tapered-end that helps in reaching out the small eye-lashes in the inner corner easily         

                                     

Formula & Texture:                                  

• The mascara is rich-black colored

• The product comes out easily on the wand and all the lashes can be coated without any hassles

• This mascara gives length and column to the lashes and does'nt weigh down the lashes

• Doesn't clump the lashes

• Smudge-proof...awesome(Y)

• Can be removed using warm water...cool but,I used a makeup-remover                                         

Longevity:

Two-to-three coats of this mascara shall be good enough to avoid any lash-clumping.Stays put entire day and doesn't flake.Also,I used a good makeup remover that removed the mascara completely from the eyes without making me look like a raccoon-eyed!

Con:

Nothing

Overall I love this mascara because it gives volume and length to my eye-lashes

Will I re-purchase?

Yes.
