Hi Lovelies!

I am back with another haul today.I am gonna share my drugstore makup haul.So, there is store in UAE called V-Perfumes.They have got a huge variety of branded perfumes.Plus they have got few makeup counters too.I love shopping makeup from this store as they always keep newly launched products in their store.Yay!

Few months back,The Body Shop had released FIVE types of face-masks namely : Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask, Chinese Ginseng & Rice Clarifying and Polishing Mask, British Rose Fresh Plumping Mask, The Ethiopian Honey Deep Nourishing Mask & Amazonian Acai Energising Radiance Mask.

Who doesn't want that glowy, radiant skin.I thought of trying the Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Face Mask as I was having skin-issues lately due to the hot summer here!Let's find out together if this mask is/was worth purchasing or not!

My Experience:
Packaging:

The product comes in a outer packaging which is made up of cardboard.

All the details are mentioned on the packaging.Details like quantity,shelf-life,ingredients etc.

The directions to use the product are mentioned clearly on the outer packaging.

The actual Himalayan Charcoal Purifying glow mask comes in a tub-packaging.Tub is made up of glass and has a matte black twist open-plastic lid.The packaging is classy but bulky.It's sturdy but, delicate to travel with.Got to be very careful while carrying the jar while travelling.There is a white-coloured plastic separator that separates the product from the lid.This ensures that the product doesn't spill-out and ruin the outer edges of the tub.Although,product spillage might not happen,but glass packaging calls for a breakage-risk.

Formula & Texture:

The grey-coloured  mud charcoal mask has a very nice-coarse texture.We can see and feel the crushed green-tea leaves present in the mud mask.Also,we can smell the strong fragrance of the tea-tree oil.The product(mud mask) is very nicely blended with all good ingredients like bamboo-charcoal from Himalayan foot-hills,green-tea,tea-tree oil etc.This mud-clay mask is a ready to use product,can be applied easily on the face using a spatula.Once applied on the face,It sits perfectly without being clumsy and it doesn't drip down here and there.Mess-free process!

How I use it?

• Wash the face using a normal face-wash
• Apply a toner(rose-water)
• Apply a thin layer of the mud mask on the face avoiding eye and lip area
• It tingles for some time...just a little
• Feels cool on the skin
• Let it sit for about ten minutes.Meanwhile take rest!It dries down very quickly.
• Rinse using luke-warm water or wipe away using a damp wash cloth.Green-tea leaves actually exfoliates the skin gentely
• Apply a face-moisturizer after ten minutes
• Repeat this process twice to thrice a week.

Effective/Worth?
Yes.

• The ingredients like green-tea and tea-tree-oil are really good for keeping the skin healthy in the long run
• This product does not contain parabens which is really cool. Parabens might cause cancer.
• It formulated without using the harmful ingredients like silicone,mineral oils and paraffins.It's really nice that these components have not been used in this charcoal clay mask...yay (Y)
• Tea-tree oil promotes glowing skin and prevents acne
• This product is really good for people with acne-prone or troubled skin-type
• The best part of this product is that you can use it without being too messy!Easy- application and easy to remove.

Tea tree oil may be effective in a variety of dermatologic conditions, including dandruff, acne, lice, herpes etc

Sebaceous glands are microscopic exocrine glands in the skin that secrete an oily or waxy matter, called sebum, to lubricate and waterproof the skin and hair of mammals.

Cons:

• Strong tea-tree smell might be a problem for some people with a very sensitive nose.
• Very pricey product.But,I guess the ingredients are very nice and expensive which might be the main reason for this.
• Tub-packaging allows product contamination easily.Use spatula or a mask-brush to apply the product instead of fingers.

Overall,I really like this charcoal clay mask.It leaves my skin squeaky clean ,fresh and glowy every time I use it.The product is not harsh and I didn't experience any burns or rashes after using the mud mask.

My skin tends to get oily during summers.That's the reason why I picked this product. Regular usage of the product has helped in calming down the mild skin irritations that were caused due to sun-exposure.Also,my skin gets a little less oily after using this product.

Didn't show any sort of pore-tightening effect as such though.I don't regret buying this product as it really did what it claimed except the pore-tightening claim.

Having said that,I highly suggest this product to normal to oily skin people as this product keeps the sebum/oil in control to a great extent.If you have an oily T-zone(area near your nose and fore-head),then I suggest trying out this mask.Must try.I am loving it.

For people with extremely dry skin,this product might rip off the essential oils from the face causing further skin-issues or stretchy skin.Please do a patch-test before purchasing this clay-mud mask.Read the ingredients carefully before purchasing.In case you are allergic to any of the ingredients,refrain from purchasing the product.

Will I re-purchase?
Yes.

I love raspberries and hence,wanted to try out this scrub.So,went ahead and purchased this body scrub.What was the result of purchasing this product let's find out together.

The product comes in a plastic tub.The theme of the packaging is raspberry as the product is made up of raspberry-fruit-extracts.All the details such as product-quantity,shelf-life etc are mentioned on the tub-packaging.Ingredients are mentioned on the official site of The Body Shop though.The body is made up of transparent-plastic .The twist-open lid is made up of opaque deep wine-pink coloured plastic.In case we are running out of the product we can easily check that out through the transparent body of the tub.Cool!The packaging is very sturdy ,compact and travel-friendly.I love the packaging.

                                               

Formula & Texture:

Oh my god!Just look at the ingredient-list.The raspberry body scrub is made up mainly of water,glycerin,castor oil,walnut-shell powder,raspberry-seed,honey,raspberry-fruit-extract.I love these ingredients.Glycerin,castor oil ,honey are supposed to keep our skin moisturized.Walnut-shell powder and raspberry seeds are meant to exfoliate the skin.The red coloured product has semi-gel like consistency.The body scrub smells nice and looks like raspberry jam...yummy:).It's not runny or too thick.Not sticky in any way. Adheres to the skin very well.

Effective?
Yes

• First of all as we open the tub,the smell of fresh raspberries just spreads all over the place
• The fragrance of the product is very strong and I love the smell of raspberries
• Apply the body scrub on the damp skin and rub well in circular motions.
• It works well as claimed.Leaves the skin soft and smooth.
• The body scrub is not greasy at all and works well on dry and damp skin not on wet skin
• Leaves no cast on the skin after usage
• The scrub is not harsh on the skin and exfoliates skin well and removes dead skin-cells nicely
• Even after we are done with scrubbing,the skin smells of raspberries which is really cool!
• Of course,after using the raspberry body scrub ,the skin feels a tad bit dry but,not stretchy.Use moisturizer

Cons:

• Tub-packaging allows product-contamination.Use a spatula to apply the product onto your skin.
• Like most of the scrubs it leaves the skin a little dry and we definitely need to apply moisturizer after using this scrub
• In case you do not like strong smell of raspberries,skip purchasing this product(suggestion)
• Quantity is less according to the price being paid

Will I re-purchase?
Yes,definitely.Love the product's raspberry-fragrance and the product is effective too.

Overall,I really love this body scrub and would recommend it to you in case you are looking for an effective body scrub.Suitable for all skin types but,specially best for normal to dry skin types.Use this body scrub thrice a week to see it's effect.The product will last for about two months if used two to three times a week.

My Experience:
Shade:
230,Apricot Kiss is a very nice summery shade and will suit all the skin tones.It's a apricot-orange-yellowish shade.

• The product comes in a transparent glass-bottle that has a silver cap made up of plastic
• The shade can be easily identified if we have more than one shade from the Colour Crush nail paint collection
• The details such as shade name,number,quantity,shelf-life are mentioned on the bottle
• I like the packaging and its's sturdy,compact plus travel-friendly
• The applicator-brush attached to the cap is a flat one
• The length of the applicator-wand is a little shorter than the usual wands
• The silver-coloured cap of the bottle comes in very handy and gives control to the user while applying the product on the nails

Formula & Texture:

• The formula is not very runny or thin.I actually like the consistency of the product.
• Product is very pigmented and gives full coverage to the nails in two coats.Do not layer up the nail-polish it will start looking patchy and gloopy on the nails
• The formula is nice and the nail-paint has a satin and elegant-looking finish

Longevity:
The nail-polish lasted for about five days straight.After that it started chipping off from the tip of the nails slightly.Glossiness of the nail paint was still there intact(98%) even after five days.Of course the sheen had faded(2%) just a little bit after five days ,but, nothing to bother as such.I am happy with the formula of the nail-polish.

Cons:
Nothing

Will I re-purchase?
Yes,surely.

Overall,I really love the shade Apricot Kiss and I suggest that you check out the entire shade-range of Colour Crush nail polishes as they have everything ranging from the nudes to the bold greens,pretty pinks to ravishing reds! Vibrant shades...I must say.

Applied only once in a day on moist skin.Lasts all day long on the skin.It totally depends on the skin-needs and types.

• The fragrance can be over-whelming to people with very sensitive nose.I love the aloe-fragrance very much!
