Makeup Post : BH Cosmetics-Take me back to Brazil Palette-Five different eye-looks

Hi Fam!

Today,I am going to share my latest five different eye-looks which I did using BH Cosmetics #Takemebacktobrazil eyeshadow palette.

Let's get started!

1. Light Green & Light sky blue

I love the way the light green colour goes with the light sky blue/mint blue colour.I knew that a muted rusty-brown lipstick will look great with this whole look.Look how well this entire makeup-look turned out! I love this makeup-look to bits.
                           

2. Blue Eye (Hypnotize kardi e mainu...hahaha)

I am sure if you are a neutral palette lover you might not like the idea of wearing a straight-up/on your face Bright Blue eye-shadow on your eyes.However,I liked how this shade looks rich and not patchy on the eye-lids. I paired this look with muted pink toned lipstick.Somehow this eye-makeup has elevated the whole look,what do you think?

3. Bright Neon Green

See, the idea was to use the green shade all over the lids and scare others...just kidding.I do not know I don't get scared of bright eye-shadows.In fact, I like such shades a lot.

In this makeup-look,I used the Neon green eye-shadow and packed carefully onto my eye-lids.See how nicely the eye-shadow has been applied that's because of one important product which I will discuss in my upcoming makeup-post.

Alright! at the end I used the muted orange toned lipstick to finish of  the whole makeup-look.

4.Go Purple

This one was inspired by one of the renowned Indian Beauty Bloggers :Debasree

I love how purple colour has been paired up with the bright neon green.

Purple is a very tough colour to create in the form of an eye-shadow.

Let me tell you,this purple was so soft and easy to apply that it felt like a dream.#notsponsored

Didn't really had a tough time blending it too.

The right amount of the Neon green eye-shadow added the pop which looked so cool...I must say...I am in love with the colour-combinaton and you can try it out too (for sure).

Completed the whole look by keeping the lips out of focus as I wanted this colour-combo to stand out.Clearly,it happened!

5. Light Green and Dark Green

I know that this eye-makeup would have reminded of parrots...tell me...tell me if that's true? :D

I paired the light green in the inner half of my eye-lids and dark green at the outer half of it.

Blended the harsh edges with a clean blending brush and voila...we have got a beautiful eye-look which was really easy to create.As usual,used my trusty muted nude lipstick to tie up the whole makeup-look together.Will you try this makeup-look?

My Experience:

Shades:Purchased three shades,Ruffle Trim,Exotic & Teddy

Ruffle Trim : True peach shade.Suitable for all skin tones.I like to line my lips with a dark lip-liner and then apply this lipstick.

Exotic : Muted dusty rose pink shade.Really very pretty shade.Can definitely be used on a daily basis as it gives a feeling of My Lips But Better.

Teddy : It's a true brown shade,however it's not a deep vamy brown and can be worn easily,if at all it's a cup of your tea.Personally,I love dark shades and I love Brown lippies.Hence,I picked this one up.
It's a beautiful shade.Suitable for all skin tones.If you don't like wearing such sort of shades then you can mute it down by using a more neutral colour like ruffle trim or so.

Packaging :

• Nice packaging.Sturdy and travel-friendly
• Clear acrylic packaging ensures that we can see the shade.
• Black colored lid with glossy finish.The lid closes tightly and product leakage was never experienced
• The flat-foot applicator helps in lining out the lips perfectly and product can be easily applied
• Labels shade details ,weight and product-expiry etc are mentioned on the tube itself.That's great!

Formula & Texture:

• Soft to touch,not gritty
• Moussy-texture,not runny liquid formula
• After applying the lipstick it dries down to a complete matte finish
• Pigmented enough to cover up the pigmented lips,gotta swipe twice/thrice at least to get the full opacity.
• Doesn't stain the lips for sure                                  

Fragrance: Chemically-scented.Fragrance which fades away with time.Not bothersome.

Longevity: Lasted on the lips for 4-5 (had meals in between).If greasy food item will be avoided,It will last for 8 hours.However,in my case,lips felt dehydrated and undernourished....and let's be real we cannot leave eating Burger and French fries...hehehe.
Re-application is easy tough as there will be no product as such on the lips after eating greasy food,so,apply a generous amount of lip balm and top it off with the lipstick.

Pro:
Shades are to die for as these sort of shades can be used on a daily basis.Pretty shades indeed!

Con: Not that long lasting and definitely lips will feel parched at the end of the day due to the formulation.

Will I re-purchase?
Yes,wanna try out this lipstick in the shade Cabaret Show.

MAC Haul!!!

Today,I am gonna share my mini MAC Haul.

Recently,I purchased some products from MAC.Read on to find out my picks.

MAC Prep+Prime Fix Plus:

It's a makeup spray.Can be used as a primer and as a setting spray.Packaging is cute and travel-friendly.I wanted to check out the travel-size as it becomes very hard to carry the full sized bottle.This product works great on my dry skin.Easy to carry and toss in the bag and can be used on the go.

Size : 30 ml

MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in the shade Soft & Gentle:

It's an illuminating face powder,basically a soft highlighter which can be layered and it can definitely turn into a blinding highlighter.

I love highlighters and I had heard a lot of good things about this product and that's the reason why I purchased this highlighter.It has got very smooth texture,soft to touch.This will suit all the Indian skin tones pretty well specially medium-skin tones.

MAC Extra Dimension Eye shadow in the shade Amorous Alloy:

Amazing packaging!!! Just look at the product and the wavy design(embossing)..looks classy in my opinion.It's a deep terracotta copperish shade.Very smooth to touch and glides on nicely on the eyelids.Can be used all over the eyelids to get that extra glamorous single eye-shadow look.

MAC Lipstick in the shade Devoted to Chili:

It's a part of Powder Matte Lipstick collection.Packaging is cool too,it has got a matte black finish...love it.This shade in particular attracted me as it's a burnt orange-terracotta shade which I am loving these days.When I swatched it,I could feel that this lipstick has got a comfortable-matte finish and not purely matte finish.Check out the swatch you will understand what I am trying to say.

"On website : A moisture-matte weightless lipstick that delivers a romantic blur of effortless soft-focus colour.Devoted to Chili is a Warm Brick Red shade."

It's perfect Dupe is Maybelline's Matte Ink lipstick in the shade Globetrotter.Must check out if you wanna try out this kind of shade on a budget.I am yet to try out this lipstick,will definitely share my opinion on this lipstick super soon.

MAC X Disnep Aladdin-Matte Lipstick in the shade Rajah

Omg! I am in love with this collection.I wanted to try out this particular shade as it's a true berry red shade which I love love love.Perfect for Indian/Medium skin tone.To be honest, this is a universal shade and I am pretty sure that it will suit Fair to Deep skin tones very well.It's perfect Dupe is Chambor Geneva's Liquid Lipstick in the shade 405.Do check out.

"Devoted to Chili" lipstick has got semi-matte finish which is matte but, still moisturizing. Altough,the product claims are that it's a matte lipstick,after swatching it we can safely say that it has got a comfortable matte-finish.This lipstick is amazing and the packaging it very unique and attractive too.

My Experience:

Packaging:
The product comes in a plastic-tub packaging.The packaging is really very attractive.Tub is of pink colour and the plastic lid is of black colour with matte-finish. All the details like quantity,shelf-life,ingredients are mentioned on the packaging.Tub-packaging is sleek, firm and very much travel-friendly.The twist-open lid gets closed tightly enough to avoid product-spillage.Overall,nice packaging...I must say...thumbs up.

                                         

Formula & Texture:
Firstly,as soon as we open the black-lid we can smell the rosy-scent which is very calming.The pale pink coloured body butter has a silky smooth texture.The body butter is of white colour with pink hues to be precise.The product has a whipped cream like consistency which is not thin or runny.It's not thick at all and is just the way I like.The body butter has awesome ingredients like Glycerin ,Soybean oil,shea butter and rose extracts.Glycerin and shea butter are meant to keep the skin healthy and glowy. Soybean oil helps in protecting from the harmful UV rays.It helps in calming the skin that was damaged due to sun rays.Soybean oil is very beneficial in the treatment of skin damages which are occurred due to air pollution as well.How cool is that!!!Really nice.Rose extracts have been used in appropriate amount,just the perfect amount that's not over powering and artificial.In fact it's very real,feels like we are somewhere near a rose-garden!I basically purchased this body butter because of it's rose-fragrance.But, I'm loving the product as well.

Effective / Worth?

• Scoop out the product and apply on the skin ,rub in circular motion.It gets absorbed into the skin very quickly and seamlessly.
• Very lightweight body butter
• Not at all greasy.I would say less is more.Do not apply a lot on your skin.Scoop out less product at a time and apply.Scoop again only if required or you feel like.If we apply a lot of product,it tends to get oily/greasy.As the time passes the greasiness goes away though.
• The body butter doesn't leave any sort of cast on the skin (after application)
• Leaves the skin feeling really silky soft and supple.Using this product regularly definitely gave good results.
• We only need to apply the body butter once and never felt the need to re-apply throughout the day...ever again
• The rose-scent of the body butter is very nice and lingers for a long time on the skin.Love it.
• Can be used anytime , any season , be it summer or winter.

Cons:

• Tub packaging allows easy product contamination.Always use a spatula to scoop out the cream from the tub.
• No SPF mentioned as such
• Not budget-friendly,but,it's The Body Shop.We are paying to get a good quality product...aren't we?

Overall,I really enjoy using this body butter.The rose-fragrance is very soothing and refreshing.The texture is smooth and product gets absorbed into the skin quickly.Makes skin feel soft and healthy.Takes care of the skin and cures skin-dryness very well.I highly recommend this body butter to people with normal to dry skin.I am very sure that you will love it too and enjoy it thoroughly.No wonder this is my current favourite body butter.Also,do check out all the products in the British Rose collection.The body scrub,shower gel, body mist are etc. fantastic and worth trying.

Recently, Kiko Milano(Italy) had launched their Active Fluo Capsule collection designed by the famous fashion designer Arthur Arbesser.The Active Fluo collection is all about neon shades and hence the name.There are three lipsticks in this collection apart from other products.I picked the shade 02,Powerful Fuchsia out of the three shades available.I love wearing bright lipsticks during hot summers and that's why I picked this one.

02, Powerful Fuchsia  : It's a very neonish,true fuchsia shade(pink with slight purple-undertones) that will brighten a dull face.It will suit all the skin tones well.It's a very bright shade ,perfect for summers.If you are looking for a bright and bold shade then your search end here.It's a gorgeous and wearable shade which can be worn anytime...I must say!:)

Oh my God! I got attracted to this lipstick mainly because of it's packaging.The outer packaging is so cool,It's made up of translucent material on which all the details like product-ingredients,quantity,shelf-life are mentioned clearly.I love the neon pink and green strips all across the outer packaging.Lovely!
The lipstick comes in a pink coloured plastic tube.The tube has a twist open lid which is of pink colour as well.The packaging is very chic and modern.Also,it's sleek,sturdy and travel-friendly.The shade number is mentioned at the bottom of the lipstick.

Formula & Texture:

• The lipstick has a creamy-waxy texture.Very much comparable to the texture of the L.A. Color lipsticks
• The lipstick glides on smoothly like a dream without tugging onto the lips
• If you press your lips,you can feel the waxy-texture of the lipstick in between your lips
• The lipstick has a velvet-matte or a semi-matte finish
• Two swipes of the lipsticks are required to get full opacity.The product is decently pigmented
• People with pigmented lips , might need to build up the colour by swiping more than two times
• Lightweight formula.I like it.
• Very comfortable on the lips.Comfortable velvet-matte lipstick.
• Not transfer-proof.Transfers to the cutlery to some extent,not crazily.
• Not Smudge-proof
• Doesn't bleed or feather from the lips.

Fragrance:
Very mild sweet floral scent that's really not overwhelming.

Longevity:
It stayed on the lips for close to four hours.I am impressed.It survived light snacks and later on faded evenly from the lips.It stained the lips.
Doesn't survive heavy meal(s) at all like any other normal bullet lipstick.It goes off completely from the center of the lips.Re-application of the lipstick is easy, it glides on smoothly and sets to a velvet-matte finish.

Con:
Note to people with dry and dehydrated lips:The only downside of this lipstick is that  it dries out the lips to some extent as the time passes.This enhances the dry-lip-patches on the lips(if any).Also,it enhances fine lip-lines.


Overall,I like this lipstick.Love it's buttery-soft texture.Exfoliate your lips well in advance prior to applying this lipstick.This will ensure a smooth application and as the lipstick dries and settles down,it will not enhance any dry patches on the lips as the time passes.Also,you can apply a lip balm underneath for keeping the lips moisturized throughout the day.

Having said that,I would say that you should check out the #ActiveFluo collection and specially this lipstick.This shade is to die for.The lipstick is non-comedogenic ,it means that it won't cause any skin-irritations/ pore-blockage etc. highly recommend this shade if you love using bright lipsticks during summers.

Shades:

• 340,Berry Bradshaw : It's a berry-toned pink shade with mauvy undertones.Deep pink with very heavy blue-undertones
• 140,Pinker-bell : It's a bright fuchsia pink shade apt for summers
• 310,Red My Lips : It's a very bright flat out red shade that can be worn anytime.Suitable for parties and functions.

All the shades mentioned above will suit all the skin tones well.Especially medium-complexioned Indian skin tones.

The lipsticks in the Ultimate Colour collection come in a black coloured plastic tube.

Details like shade number,name,quantity and shelf-life are mentioned on the tube-packaging.

The bottom of the lipstick has a colour-coded sticker that matches the lipstick's shade the tube holds.It comes in very handy if we have more than one lipstick from this collection.

Overall,I love these lipsticks and you must try at least one shade out of fifteen shades available.The lipsticks in the Ultimate colour collection are nicely pigmented and long-lasting at the same time.There are awesome shades available...from nudes to bold reds they have it all.Cool!

Tips: Lining out lips before applying the lipstick is a good idea.Also,don't forget to prep-up the lips by exfoliating and applying a generous amount of lip balm.Then,wipe off the lip balm exactly before applying the lipstick
