Review : The Body Shop's British Rose Instant Glow Body Butter

Body care is very important and what better can be than using a good body butter which has rose - extracts!Sounds interesting...yeah!Today, I am going to share my thoughts on the The Body Shop's British Rose Instant Glow Body Butter.

Let's get started!

Indulge in dewy hydration with our first Body Butter with glow enhancing rose essence. Beautifully pearlescent, this velvety-soft moisturiser is light to the touch but rich on moisture. My Experience:

Packaging:
The product comes in a plastic-tub packaging.The packaging is really very attractive.Tub is of pink colour and the plastic lid is of black colour with matte-finish. All the details like quantity,shelf-life,ingredients are mentioned on the packaging.Tub-packaging is sleek, firm and very much travel-friendly.The twist-open lid gets closed tightly enough to avoid product-spillage.Overall,nice packaging...I must say...thumbs up.

                                         

Formula & Texture:
Firstly,as soon as we open the black-lid we can smell the rosy-scent which is very calming.The pale pink coloured body butter has a silky smooth texture.The body butter is of white colour with pink hues to be precise.The product has a whipped cream like consistency which is not thin or runny.It's not thick at all and is just the way I like.The body butter has awesome ingredients like Glycerin ,Soybean oil,shea butter and rose extracts.Glycerin and shea butter are meant to keep the skin healthy and glowy. Soybean oil helps in protecting from the harmful UV rays.It helps in calming the skin that was damaged due to sun rays.Soybean oil is very beneficial in the treatment of skin damages which are occurred due to air pollution as well.How cool is that!!!Really nice.Rose extracts have been used in appropriate amount,just the perfect amount that's not over powering and artificial.In fact it's very real,feels like we are somewhere near a rose-garden!I basically purchased this body butter because of it's rose-fragrance.But, I'm loving the product as well.

Effective / Worth?

• Scoop out the product and apply on the skin ,rub in circular motion.It gets absorbed into the skin very quickly and seamlessly.
• Very lightweight body butter
• Not at all greasy.I would say less is more.Do not apply a lot on your skin.Scoop out less product at a time and apply.Scoop again only if required or you feel like.If we apply a lot of product,it tends to get oily/greasy.As the time passes the greasiness goes away though.
• The body butter doesn't leave any sort of cast on the skin (after application)
• Leaves the skin feeling really silky soft and supple.Using this product regularly definitely gave good results.
• We only need to apply the body butter once and never felt the need to re-apply throughout the day...ever again
• The rose-scent of the body butter is very nice and lingers for a long time on the skin.Love it.
• Can be used anytime , any season , be it summer or winter.

Cons:

• Tub packaging allows easy product contamination.Always use a spatula to scoop out the cream from the tub.
• No SPF mentioned as such
• Not budget-friendly,but,it's The Body Shop.We are paying to get a good quality product...aren't we?

Overall,I really enjoy using this body butter.The rose-fragrance is very soothing and refreshing.The texture is smooth and product gets absorbed into the skin quickly.Makes skin feel soft and healthy.Takes care of the skin and cures skin-dryness very well.I highly recommend this body butter to people with normal to dry skin.I am very sure that you will love it too and enjoy it thoroughly.No wonder this is my current favourite body butter.Also,do check out all the products in the British Rose collection.The body scrub,shower gel, body mist are etc. fantastic and worth trying.

Review : Colorbar's Velvet Matte Lipstick,Shade# 12,Pure Innocence

Today I am going to share my thoughts on the Colorbar's (India)Velvet Matte Lipstick in the shade :12, Pure Innocence.

My Experience:
Shade:

12,Pure Innocence :  Oh my god!The moment I saw this shade I went cray cray.It's a brown shade with mauvy undertones.It's a beautiful shade and will suit medium skin-tones pretty well.On fair skin-tones,this might look like a very deep brown-shade.Yes,I love deep browns and this shade screamed my name ,I had to buy it :D

Packaging:
The lipstick comes in a steel tube with a pull-up ,transparent plastic lid/cap.The shade number,name ,weight are mentioned at the bottom of the lipstick-tube.The bottom of the tube is a transparent plastic through which the exact shade can be seen easily.So, in case we have more than one lipstick from the Velvet Matte collection it's easy to locate different shades in the vanity.The packaging looks very different than a regular lipstick-packaging.I love the way tube looks,it's sturdy and lid closes tightly enough to save the product from any mishaps.Sleek and travel-friendly packaging.

Formula,Texture & Worthiness?

• The lipstick has a buttery-soft texture.It's so soft.The first time I used it,I was amazed at the smoothness of this lipstick
• It glides on really well on the lips without tugging or pulling
• It smells sweet.The scent is very mild and fades away as the time passes
• It's very pigmented and comfortable on the lips.One swipe and we are good to go.Nice colour -payoff at this price point
• The lipstick has a velvet-matte finish indeed and as the time passes it dries down further to a kind of matte finish.This might dry-out the lips to some extent
• It is not transfer-proof or smudge-proof.But,it really didn't transfer to the cups crazily.
• Initially, the lipstick doesn't sit into the lip-fine lines.But, as the time passes it starts enhancing the lip-lines!Not extremely though.
• Doesn't flake , feather or bleed.Please exfoliate your lips in advance.Apply lip balm underneath the lipstick,doing this will keep the lips moisturized and prevent lips from drying-out extremely.

Longevity:
Stays on the lips for about four hours (max).Survives light snacks. Doesn't survive oily food and goes away from the center of the lips like any other regular lipstick.

Con:
Nothing as such except that the lipstick stains the lips which might annoy some people.We definitely need a good makeup remover to remove the lipstick.

P.S. Yes,this lipstick leaves a stain behind which I don't really mind(personal opinion)

Overall,I love the formula of this lipstick.Pure Innocence is such a gorgeous shade.It can be worn anytime and everytime.Pigmentation of this lipstick is top notch.We are getting a lot of product for just INR 325.Budget-friendly lipstick! I highly recommend checking out the entire collection .In the Velvet matte collection,there are amazing shades ranging from bold browns to beautiful coral-pinks. You can use a lip liner to line out your lips and then fill in using the lipstick.This will ensure that the lipstick stays for a little longer than usual.Purchase this shade only if you are into wearing brown and bold lipstick-shades.

Will  I re-purchase?
Yes,it's totally worth re-purchasing.

Mini Haul : Karaja Makeup Products(Life Cosmetics),Italy

Today, I am going to share the details of a mini makeup haul.So,recently I had ordered few products online from www.lifestylestores.com. It's a great portal for online shopping.Be it cosmetics or home decors they have it all.I purchased few products which are from an Italian makeup brand called Karaja.Let's get started with the haul!

First product is a lipstick.It's from the Sensual Shine,shiny cream lipstick collection.It's an orange-coloured lipstick which is perfect to wear during the summer-season.The lipstick has a glossy finish which I like a lot.This lipstick is very pigmented and in one swipe we get full colour payoff.It feels very comfortable on the lips too.The lipstick comes in a colour-coded plastic tube with a pull-up cap.The colour of the tube matches the shade of the lipstick.Very handy feature in case we have more than one lipstick from the Sensual Shine collection. Nice quality,I am lovin' it.

Second product is a bullet lipstick from the Rouge Mat collection.It comes in a metallic silver tube.The tube has a pull-up cap which is firm in nature. The packaging looks very classy.It's sleek,sturdy and travel friendly.The shade is very gorgeous ,it's a watermelon-red kind of a shade,very bright red with a slight hint of orange.It's a very summery shade.I purchased this lipstick because this particular shade looked very unique to me.The lipstick glides on smoothly and is very pigmented.The lipstick has a velvet-matte finish.I love the formula of this lipstick. Good quality lipstick:)

Third product is an eyeshadow trio in a uni-pan.It's from the Aqua Colour Eye Shadow collection.It is a beautiful combination of purple and pink with pink-glitters in tge middle-stripe.Attractive indeed!!

I had heard so many good things about Karaja-eyeshadows and wanted to try,that's why I purchased this product.There are other amazing variants available too.The shade range varies from the bold teals to warm neutrals.

The packaging is lightweight and is made up of plastic.The eyeshadows can be seen easily through the transparent plastic-lid.The circular pan holds the product intact.The packaging is very sleek and compact.I am yet to try out these shadows.Will keep you updated on that.Do follow me on Instagram to get more updates on this product.

Review : Dazzling Lip Gloss by Forever 52 Germany

Today,I am going to share my thoughts on the Lip Gloss by  Forever 52 Germany.There are thirty-three shades available online and I picked one shade : FM0432.

Forever 52 is a German Cosmetics brand.

I had heard about Forever 52 earlier and I wanted to try their products.I found out that in UAE it's available online on http://www.dailylifeforever52.com

My Experience:
Packaging:

The lip gloss comes in an acrylic rectangular-transparent tube that has a black cap.

The shade name is mentioned at the bottom of the tube.The packaging is very nice to look at.The packaging is sturdy and travel-friendly.The lid gets closed tightly enough and avoids product spillage.

Sleek and chic packaging.I love it.The applicator is a flat-foot sponge-tip one.It really helps in lining out the lips easily.It gives full control/grip to the hands while lining out the lips.

Formula & Texture:

• The lipstick has a texture that's between a mousse and a runny liquid lipstick/matte gloss.
• Glides on really smoothly onto the lips,Soft and silky texture
• Pressing the lips moves the product and the lip gloss does not really set at any point in time as such
• Definitely a demi-matte finish not powdery-matte-finish.Takes about two to three minutes to settle on the lips
• Product is decently pigmented,but, we need to dip into the tube to get more product and apply.
• Once we use two scoops of the product on the lips only then the lip gloss looks really nice and even
• May be because the flat foot applicator does not hold enough product in a scoop ,we need to definitely dip the applicator again and again to get the product out
• Water-resistant lip gloss
• Not smudge-proof
• Transfers very little...nice!

Shade:

FM0432 : orange with a hint of red(reddish-orange).It's a perfect shade for the summers!This shade will look gorgeos on all the skin tones in my opinion.It's my favorite kind of shade.:)

Effective/Worth?

Yes

I am so in love with this lip gloss.To start with, the shade FM0432 is an amazing burnt-orange-red shade.It's so summery.This shade will definitely suite all the skin tones.The product doesn't bleed,flake,feather or sit into the fine-lip-lines.Yes it enhances the dry patches on the lips,so please exfoliate the lips prior to applying any lip gloss/liquid lipstick with a matte finish.

Very easy to remove using wet-makeup wipes or a makeup-remover.

Fragrance:

Very mild sweet fragrance that's not at all bothersome.

Longevity:

I was amazed at the longevity of this lip-gloss.It stayed on the lips for about six hours straight.It survived ligh.Only when we eat very oily/greasy food it goes away from the center of the mouth. Doesn't stain the lips at all.Being a matte lip-gloss it really lived upto it's name and I am impressed...I must say.

Con:

Streaky in one scoop.Need to dip into the tube to even out the product on the lips.

Will I re-purchase?

Yes

Overall ,I only wish it was easy to scoop out the product in one go in order to get that evenness of the product on the lips.You need to give some time to evenly spread the product on the lips.At least for this shade I can say as most of the time neon/coral shades tend to be streaky in general and so is the case with this lip-gloss.Otherwise, keeping the demi-matte finish,comfortability and the longevity that this lip gloss provides I am all in for it.
